I cannot believe that it is November already; this year has truly flew by in the blink of an eye. Now that we're in our new house, I want to create some new memories now that this month marks the start to my two favorite holidays, ever! I, of course, did a little decorating for Fall/Thanksgiving around our house to get the upcoming holidays started.
In hopes that the weather here in Florida gets a cooler, I wanted to think of some fun things that my husband & I can on the weekends. This time of year is my favorite and this will give us something to look forward to each week.
I've been wanting to go to a true farmer's market for so long & the other day I found out that there is one every single Saturday right near our new house. It would be nice to be able to walk around without sweating to death & get a bundle of fresh fruits & veggies that don't cost an arm and a leg. There are also quite a few upcoming little festivals in downtown St. Augustine that we will try to visit.
At the moment, the weather is still in the mid-80's every week here in Florida, but I thought it would be a good & super yummy idea to have Sunday [crockpot] Soups in November. I am not a chicken noodle soup kinda girl, so I found some different soups that I am excited for us to try out. I sway more towards creamy soups, only problem is that I eat dairy-free; therefore I've been on the search for a dairy-free alternative & it seems that coconut cream is going to be my go-to.
I am planning to make gluten free & dairy free versions of the following: chicken & dumpling, baked potato soup, cream of tomato soup, chicken enchilada soup & some my mom's homemade chili.
Hope all of you had a spooky Halloween & are ready for the cooler weather that November hopefully brings.
