Wish List !! Part I

It has been 8 [Very quick] months since we moved into our very own [brand spankin' new] home. Believe it or not...It took 3 months before I let my husband hang our 1st photo on the wall [Crazy, I know!]. I am so indecisive- always changing my mind and over analyzing about decorating ideas, so I wanted to be sure about the permanent [tiny little nail hole] mark that was going into the wall.

The same day that I finally gave in and let him hang the pictures over the TV hubby decides that it would be a good idea to go TV shopping ! [Are you kidding me?! Give your indecisive wife a heart attack why don't ya!] In the blink of an eye, we went from a 46" TV to a 55" TV so the perfectly measured & hung pictures are not so perfect anymore [:: tear tear ::]

Throughout the 8 months living here... I have been searching home decorating blogs, constantly window shopping, & trying to decide what I need to buy for our house. I have an ever growing wish list that I absolutely must have, so I figured I would put it on the blog, so I wouldn't forget a single thing.

[WARNING: Kevin, if you're reading this; Click the "X" on the top right of the page- it is best for your health. Trust me!]

Loft Wish List

*I am dying [Yes, you read that right! Dying!] to have this rug for our loft.

*I love these inexpensive storage shelves and baskets. If you know me at all- then you know I love, love, love storage & organizing. And I am always thinking ahead & someday the loft will be a playroom, so storage is absolutely a must.

*I love to keep everything neutral, so I am able to add colorful art or accessories [& change decor every other day]. I am loving Etsy when it comes to buying wall art.

The list gets longer... but Ill spare my husband the heart attack if he's reading this right now. I'll save the rest of the wanted goodies for next time.

Home Sweet Home...

aww

Cannot believe that is has been 8 months since we moved into our first [brand spankin' new] home. After months [of brainstorming] I have finally started decorating our home. I absolutely love shopping & decorating [now if I could just win the lottery]! As much as I love shopping and decorating, sometimes I wish that I could just snap my fingers and [voila!] every room in our home would look like a Pottery Barn ad.

Here are some cute finds that I absolutely love...

Shelf {World Market}

White Canisters {Pottery Barn}  and Wreath & Basket{Target}

Print Wall Art {Etsy}

I still have so much more to do for our house when it comes to decorating [my wish list keeps growing & growing] which is fine with me [although my bank account disagrees- he!]

Lovely & Oh So Pinteresting...

If you answer Yes to the following, then you too are addicted to the glorious Pinterest

  • Stayed up that extra 2 or 3 hours at night [knowing that you'll probably end up getting ready for work with your eyes closed because of exhaustion]?
  •  Decide that you're going to go on a work out binge [they look so easy in the pictures], that is after you make all of the deliciously, oh so yummy desserts?
{Pinterest}
  • Find tons of fashionable [outrageously expensive items which probably cost my entire salary] things, then get disappointed when none of them are in your closet when you need them the most?

Don't be ashamed... I answered Yes to all of the above. If you couldn't tell, I love Pinterest! From Do-It-Yourself [convince my hubby to do-it-himself] to sparkly, sequin ball gowns [which I'll never wear, but a girl can dream, right?!] Pinterest has it all !!! Take a look at the Pinterest inspired Do-It-Yourself items I made...

I think they look pretty cute [after gluing my fingers together and getting glue gun blisters]! Well... Happy Pinning! Until next time...

And I thought I loved you then...

"So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday.”
-Nicholas Sparks

My husband & I met each other at a Halloween party when we were about 13 or 14 years old {Yup! You read that right!}. I thought he was cute {I was a boy crazed teen girl} but never really thought much more about him.

About a year after the Halloween party, my friends mom was driving us to our 1st day of Middle School {we thought we were such hot shots} and I saw this cute boy riding his bicycle. That cute boy, was the same cute boy that I had met a year earlier at the Halloween party.

As the school days went on, we started running into each other in the halls. We were on completely different schedules at school, so everyday I would walk by the cafeteria window and wave {blew a few kisses too}.

Nothing ever happened between us {besides a little flirting here and there}, until we were Freshman's in High School. We had PE together and the same breaks together, so our relationship was able to flourish {as much as a high school relationship could}.

Of coarse, like any {crazy, young} couple we have had our UPs and downs.

In 2008, we got engaged ! I had a feeling that something was going on because he was being super sneaky & weird {Carrying around a winter jacket in 100 degree weather which I know now was the hiding place of my precious jewel}. We were so excited & I couldn't wait to be his wife and for him to be my husband.

In 2010, we got married ! We started planning {so stressful} a wedding in Jacksonville, Florida, but soon realized that we wanted our wedding to be about us. So booked our wedding at the Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In four simple words: Time of Our Life !

 In 2012, we bought our first home. We love everything about it {I especially love decorating}. It is so nice to be able to come to home everyday to a place that is ours.

Well, that was the {shortest, most brief} story of our love life.

Nice to Meet You...

I have decided to start a blog to document my life {past, present, and future}- as a friend, daughter, wife, and someday {hopefully sooner than later} a mother.

I'll start by telling a little bit about myself-

I am a 20 something

I have lived in Jacksonville, Florida for almost 20 years & have yet to become accustomed to the HOT {humid, break a sweat walking to your car} weather

My husband & I met in middle school {you'll hear more about him later}

My mom is my BEST friend

My family means more to me than anything in the world

I graduated from the University of North Florida

My husband & I recently purchased our 1st home

I absolutely love holidays

Call me crazy, but I sure do love a good rainy day

I enjoy shopping & decorating our new home {Target & Pottery Barn get me every time}

I am totally fascinated with motherhood and babies

I am obsessed {cannot live without} Starbucks Chai Tea Latte

I love sleeping in on Saturdays

Well, that's all folks for my 1st blog. I know so short {a little boring} but I will be back soon with much more...
