Home Tour- Living Room

Our living room is a room that we love and spend most of our time in. We have incredible views in our backyard & tons of wildlife, so it makes for an inviting space.
When we first moved in, I knew that I wanted to keep the living room very neutral. With lots of personal touches & a cozy feel. I am really happy with the way everything has turned out over the years...

Meatless Monday

Sweet Potato Chips

3 large sweet potatoes
Coconut Oil

Oven at 350 degrees
Non-stick pan

Peel skin off of all three of sweet potatoes. Cut into thin slices & place in a large bowl.
Add some salt, pepper and coconut oil (I used All Natural Pure Coconut Oil) & mix up. I have also made a sweet version of the sweet potato chips- I used cinnamon, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. They taste so yummy!
Spread out the sliced sweet potato on a non-stick pan. Make sure to evenly spread them out so they cook all the way. Put in the oven for about 20 minutes. Check them, you might need to flip them around. Depending on how thin the slices are, you might need to stick them back in the oven for about 10 more minutes.
When they are completely cooked, I let them sit for a little bit to cool down. They plate them & enjoy!!
They are so yummy and way healthier than any brand of chips you can buy in stores.

Home Tour- Dining Area

Our dining room is in the same space as our living room, so it was important to me to get the decor in both rooms to be similar. It has taken me quite a long time to actually get our dining space decorated the way I really like. The first thing that I did was removed the disgusting builder chandelier & replaced it with a Pottery Barn pendent light, which I love
I also did not know what to put on the wall because I didn't want it to clash with the big gallery wall above our couch (about 5 feet away). Throughout the past almost 2 1/2 years, I have played around with different pieces for the room, but just recently settled with an ivory circle mirror & a tree that I got from my Grandpa.
I finally love the way the space feels!

Meatless Monday

Hope your weekend was good!! Mine, as always, was NOT long enough. Over the weekend, I found some more tasty meatless recipes that I wanted to share with you.
I really love oatmeal and bananas, so turn them into little healthy, chewy cups.. & they're right up my alley.
Banana Baked Oatmeal Cups
Ever since I stopped eating dairy & gluten, I have truly missed fettuccine alfredo. I am not crazy about red sauces, so when I found this pesto sauce noodle dish I definitely wanted to try it. And I am hoping it'll fill my fettuccine alfredo void. Ha!

There is one vegetable that I am obsessed with...cauliflower! So this meal looks so yummy
BBQ Cauliflower Salad
Egg Salad
My husband loves, loves, loves tacos, so I don't think he would mind eating these delicious tacos, even though they lack some meat that he absolutely loves.

So have any of you tried any of the meatless Monday recipes that I have been blogging about?! If so, how were they?!

Friday Favorites

Hey everyone !! I bet you're as happy as I am that it is my favorite day of the week... Friday! The weeks just seem so long lately- I know the weeks are the same days and hours as always but man, they've been dragging.

So anyways, on to my favorites for the week.. Lately, I have been looking for some different prints to put around the house. So my go-to place for them has been Etsy. They have so many & they are gorgeous!

I am thinking of putting this one in our bedroom, either replacing another print that we already have up or adding another frame.
I love love love this one & this is most definitely going to go in our loft.
Not exactly sure which room I would put this in, but I just think this print is gorgeous!
This one would look amazing in the little gallery wall that I have with the little cardboard deer head in our living room.

So what are some great places you have found that sell fun prints?!

Home Tour- Loft

My favorite room in our house, with the most decorated transformation, would definitely have to be our loft. When we moved in, I truly had no clue what I wanted to do with this space. For at least six months, boxes just sat in it. I knew that I wanted to put some shelves in there for more storage, so we put those up... and the shelves & baskets sat all by their lonesome for another six months. Ha!
I then had an idea to put up a gallery wall, but my vision, well... it didn't turn out so well. It looked like five random frames floating on a huge, massive empty wall.
Then... there was a period of time when every.single.time I went to Target I bought a frame. And my vision of a gallery wall finally came to life!! (Thanks hubby!)
Then one day, this light went off in my head.. and I knew the exact couch, pillows, & decorations that I had to have for the  new girl cave loft.

Meatless Mondays

It is my favorite time of the week Meatless Mondays !! It is the only thing that I like about Mondays. This week I have found some really drool worthy recipes that I will most definitely be making soon.
I am not really a breakfast person in the morning... I am always in a hurry to get out of the house on time, so having a yummy smoothie that I can prepare the night before would be perfect. Breakfast for dinner is another story though... I could eat breakfast foods for dinner every.single.night, especially if it means having strawberry lemon poppy seed pancakes. Delicious

Sometimes when having meatless meals there tends to be a problem of not feeling full. So finding meals that are filled with other meatless proteins is going to help with making you feel satisfied & not searching for another meal. This tasty chili topped with avocado & Greek pizza will definitely fill any hunger void- they look so good!

What kind of fulfilling meatless meals do you cook?!

Friday Favorites

Friday, we finally meet again! With every Friday comes my favorites, which this week I have quite a few things to share with you, that I love & am dying to have!!

Since we're in the start of Summer, it only seems natural to want some summery goodies. When I saw this melted Popsicle ring holder, my heart melted (no pun intended)! My gorgeous engagement ring & wedding bands would look so beautiful resting on this.
How cute are these ice trays to make some ice cubes to stay cool on the dreadfully warm Summer days. And these whale-tail measuring cups are so cute !! I would definitely cook/bake more if I had these to work with (Hint Hint Hubby!).
And what would a favorites post be without some pillows... I would honestly have to say that I have a pillow obsession. I am loving pom poms right now on everything, so when I saw this white & ivory pillow I knew that I had to have it. With that being said, I will be taking a trip to Anthropologie this weekend :)
Well I hope you have a good weekend !! Stay cool out there :)
